We’re Number 1
For the first time in 22 years — Pittsburgh has been rated as the most livable city in the country by Rand McNally. I don’t know how much being ranked like this actually helps drives home sales, economic development, etc. — but it’s nice to get the recognition.
The really cool thing about this, however, is that Pittsburgh is the first city to repeat in the history of the rankings. Take that!

I agree… the recognition is nice and welcomed. However, does it really help us in generating jobs or getting people to move or stay here?
I’m afraid that this is just a nice self pat-on-the-back and will give people the delusion that everything is fine here. I honestly don’t know how we can be ranked number one overall but still be 92nd in job growth.
