They’re Murdering Terri

Welcome to the United States of America — where the highest court (and virtually every other court) in the land thinks it is OK for the husband of a woman to decide that she die a slow death by starving her because “she would’ve wanted to die this way”.

The whole Terri Schiavo case disgusts me because so many people are siding with the husband in maintaining the fight that her feeding tube be removed. Why does he fight this so hard? Why can’t he just turn over custody to her parents and move on with his life — considering that he already has a new girlfriend and children with her. How can Michael Schiavo actually claim to have his wife’s best interests in mind when he has started a new life with someone else.

I am not surprised by how the courts are reacting to this. This country is full of death — violent movies, kids being shot in the head outside of their school, high school students in black trenchcoats firing indiscriminately at their fellow students during school.

I weep for our society and its lack of any value for human life. People defend the right to murder babies in the womb, they defend the right to kill yourself (or with someone’s “help”) and now they want to murder Terri. May God have mercy on us all.
