The Commish Has No Stones
In his first test as the new NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell showed that he doesn’t have any stones. Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth stepped on the head of Andre Gurode, center for the Dallas Cowboys. He did it not once, but twice — and what does Goodell do? He gives him a 5 game suspension!
What?!?! Are you kidding me? That was one of the worst things I’ve ever seen a player do to another player — and he only gets 5 games? What kind of a lesson does that teach him? What does it teach the kids that have seen this play on TV and on the Internet? If Goodell knew what he was doing, he would’ve suspended Haynesworth for the entire year — not just 5 games! I’m really disappointed in him and the league for their reaction to this.
