Pee-Pee On The Potty
Christian made his first pee-pee on the potty today. Melissa bought him this really cute little potty on Monday, so we thought we’d give it a shot this morning.
He knows where his pee-pee is, but we weren’t sure if he would understand how to pee-pee, so Daddy sat down on the toilet and convinced him to sit down on his potty too. And no..don’t worry…I was NOT pottying myself. Just sitting down to get Christian to do the same.
Well, wouldn’t you know it….about 2 minutes after he sat down (and lots of encouragement from Melissa and I), Christian made his first pee-pee on the potty. We were so proud of him and clapped and smiled a lot so that Christian knew that he did a good thing. I am not sure if this is early for a 19 month old to pee on the potty or if he is moving along at a normal pace. I never thought I’d get excited about pee-peeing, but when your kid does it, you have to be happy for him!
