Luther Vandross (1951 - 2005)

Luther Vandross, one of my favorite singers ever, died today from complications from a stroke he had years ago. I was totally shocked and sad to hear the news. I knew that he had been staying out of the public eye since the stroke, but he came out with a great (and final) CD called “Dance With My Father” ever after he had the stroke.
Luther sang my favorite love song — called “There’s Nothing Better Than Love” — with Gregory Hines back in the 90’s. His death is even more sad knowing that both he and Gregory have passed away.
The only good thing that can come from his death is the fact that he can truly “dance with his father” again. May God Bless him and his family at this sorrowful time.
