Losing Your Job For Changing Your Gender?
Can someone please explain to me why this man is being threatened with getting fired for changing his gender from male to female? I’ve read this article twice and I don’t understand what is causing such vitriol and disgust from the community that he serves in. Why does it matter what gender he is — or he is becoming? Do they think that his job performance will change after an operation? If so, why?
The thing that bothers me is that it seems that this is some kind of chauvinistic action they are taking against him — except that one of the people that’s pushing for his firing is a female commissioner for his town. This guy got good reviews for 14 years and now they are thinking about firing him just for changing his gender. I hope he fights this one in court. This is truly ridiculous.
