iPod My Ride
Volkswagen is the latest company to join the fray of automobile manufacturers that are providing easy connections in their cars for iPods and other MP3 players. I think any step in this direction is great considering the decline of popularity of CDs and CD changers in automobiles and the increasing use of MP3 players by the public at large.
I, personally, cannot remember the last time I bought a CD — unless it was at a garage sale and I bought O.A.R.’s 34th and 8th double CD with DVD for $3! I haven’t taken a drive of 30 minutes or more without my iPod and the iTrip accessory since I bought them. I just wish that my new Tacoma had a way to directly hook up the iPod to it — just like these other car companies are today. Hey Toyota — hint, hint!
