Happy Birthday Ben!
No…I’m not talking about “Big” Ben Roethlisberger! I’m talking about one of the founding fathers of our country — Benjamin Franklin — who would have turned 300 if he were still alive today!
As a volunteer firefighter, I have a special respect for him since he is the founder of the first volunteer fire department in the United States — besides all of the wonderful things he did for our country. My favorite thing about Ben Franklin is that he is the creator of the best quote of all time — “Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy!”
So raise your glass to Ben and wish him a happy birthday!
