Giving Loans For Abortions?

// March 4th, 2009 // Pro Life

I saw this article in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and couldn’t believe what I was reading. So…let me get this straight…rather than getting her help for her pregnancy, this counselor thought it would be better to loan her money to murder her unborn child even though she had been in counseling for a year and a half? Is the court even allowed to “loan” people money in the first place?

    It’s unfortunate but societies (even “great” ones) only have so many resources. That $275 investment will likely save taxpayers a lot of welfare and crime related costs in the long term. Especially from the articles lovely portrayal of the drug mother.

    I’m sure you’re aware of the research linking the reduction in crime in the 90’s with the legalization of abortion only one generation prior.

    It’s unfortunate but unwanted children are conceived every day. The US doesn’t have the resources to take care of them and neither do the people popping them out. And more unfortunately, there isn’t some sort of test that can be applied to people before they get into trouble.

    So unless some pro life institution puts its money where its protests are (it’s easy to condemn something when you don’t have a stake in it now isn’t it) then make the money available. And forget the loan, just give it to them.
