Ed Bradley
Just found out that Ed Bradley died yesterday. That totally sucks. I didn’t even know he had leukemia.
He was the main reason that I watched 60 Minutes. I always thought that the show was for “old people”, but as I’ve grown older, I’ve really enjoyed the stories that they’ve reported on and the people doing the reporting. Ed Bradley always seemed to be so personable and could talk to anyone at all — regardless of how famous they were.
Ed was a trailblazer in broadcast journalism and served as the first black correspondent for any news channel at the White House. Ron Allen from MSNBC wrote a great article about him and CBS has a a whole section of their web site devoted to him.
