Stay Retired Brett

// July 29th, 2008 // No Comments » // Give Me A Break!, Sports

Would someone please tell me why athletes decide that they want to retire…make a big freaking deal about it….the networks show their highlight reels….and then talk about the gaping hole in their respective sport because they are no longer playing…..and then all of a sudden decide that THEY WANT TO PLAY AGAIN?!?!?

Brett Favre is a great football player, but for Pete’s sake…why the hell did you retire in the first place if you were going to come right back? I’m so sick and tired of hearing about him coming back. I hope he ends up playing for a team that the Steelers play for so that we can sack his indecisive ass!

If I had an extra $20K, this is exactly what I’d use it for. Awesome!

Barry Bonds Back In Pittsburgh?

I can’t even imagine this, but someone else can. Would this be before or after he goes to prison for perjury?

I Own You

GoDaddy has been known for their racy ads during the Super Bowl, but their new one pushes the fine line of taste. As an adult, I normally get a kick out of commercials like this, but as you’ll see (if you watch it) — this one might go too far. Tell me what you think.

Dukes Down Dayton

// January 25th, 2007 // No Comments » // Duquesne, Sports

The intra-family rivalry has swung in my favor this year as my Duquesne Dukes came back from a 10-point deficit to beat our rival (and my wife’s alma mater) Dayton Flyers on Wednesday night by a score of 93-89. The Holy Ghost boys took the Marianists down this year and I couldn’t be happier!

Don’t Blame Us For Him

Yes, I know I’m from Pittsburgh, but please don’t blame the rest of us for guys like this who should NEVER be on TV. One of the bars on the North Side decided to have a “going away” party for Coach Cowher — and surprisingly he didn’t show up. Who would’ve thunk?!?!?

Well, since Coach blew off the party, the reporter was forced to interview some of the bar patrons — one of which showed how much of a knuckle-dragger he really is. Here’s what the Joey Porter jersey wearing Cowher fan said when asked why he was there:

“We are here to thank Coach Cowher for all the things he has gaven us”

Yes, that’s right. Gaven. Not the captain of The Love Boat (that’s Gavin). Gaven — as in the wrong freaking way to say given. Way to make Pittsburghers sound that much more stupid nimrod!
