It’s 3 AM….

….and your marketing director tells you that she’s got a great idea for an ad showing how you are a better candidate for president. She tells you that you can “just buy some stock video footage” from a company for the commercial and that it will look really good and get you votes.

What this marketing director doesn’t tell you is that one of the children in the commercial is much older now and is actually a staunch Barack Obama supporter. In fact, the girl wants to film a new commercial with her and Obama in response to the ad. Ha ha ha. I would’ve loved to have seen the look on Hillary’s face when she found that out!

First Day of Kindergarten

Today I grew more gray hair as my son Christian started his first day of kindergarten at St. Bernard School. He is the first of the newest Polk generation to attend St. B’s. The school hold a special place in our hearts since Melissa and I both went there and met each other there. I hope that he enjoys going there as much as I did.

I had been meaning to make this video for a long time, but I finally decided to make it over Father’s Day weekend so that I could “give” it to Mike and Mr. Steffan as a gift that day. I hope that it will serve as a tribute to the wonderful woman that Colleen was. May she rest in peace.
