About
I am a 36 year old man from Mt. Lebanon, PA — a municipality six miles southwest of the city of Pittsburgh. I was born in Pittsburgh, lived my first year of life in a city neighborhood called Hazelwood, and then moved to the suburbs with my parents. I graduated from Mt. Lebanon High School in 1989 and then attended Duquesne University where I graduated four years later with a degree in logistics management.
I was married in September of 2001 to my lovely wife Melissa. She is an environmental scientist (which means she is really smart), incredibly beautiful and my best friend. I am so blessed to have found her. She’s my soulmate.
About a month after our wedding, we found out that we were going to be parents. Our son Christian was born in July 2002. We were blessed again in December 2003 with the arrival of our daughter Emily. Our third child Henry arrived in November 2006. We never knew how wonderful it is be to be parents and how much love could come from these three little people. They are definitely the best things that have ever happened to us.
I currently work for the Pennsylvania Technical Assistance Program (PENNTAP). I am technically an employee of Penn State University, but I work out of an office in the Point Breeze section of the city of Pittsburgh. My title is Senior Technical Consultant and my responsibilty is to provide free, limited technical assistance (computer or Internet-related) to small businesses within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. I cover the following twelve counties of southwestern Pennsylvania — Allegheny, Beaver, Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Fayette, Fulton, Greene, Huntingdon, Somerset, Washington and Westmoreland. I have clients from all sectors — retail, manufacturing and service — with 1 to 500 employees. It’s been a great job so far because of the opportunity that I have to meet all kinds of people and assist them with their technology needs.
In my spare time, I am a volunteer firefighter with the Mt. Lebanon Fire Department. where I have served as president and board member and am currently the department’s webmaster. I am also vice president and webmaster for the Pittsburgh Metro FOOLS which is a fraternal organization for firefighters. I also write as a contributor to Blog-Lebo, a blog dedicated to news, information and opinions about Mt. Lebanon.
I serve as an usher at St. Bernard Church. I’m also a fourth degree member and Deputy Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Regis J. Sheehan Memorial Council 12355. I’ve got five wonderful nephews, a beautiful niece and a great family to boot.
