A Bad Weekend In The Hundred Acre Woods

It was not a good weekend for the inhabitants of the Hundred Acre Woods. Paul Winchell, the voice of Tigger died on Friday and then John Fiedler, the voice of Piglet died Saturday.

It’s been said that people die in groups of three, but it’s amazing that two people that worked on the same cartoon and influenced the childhoods of people all over the world, died within a day of each other.

It was also amazing to learn that Paul Winchell was also an inventor and ventriloquist. One of his inventions was an artificial heart and it was given to the University of Utah for research. The first artificial heart was created by a team of doctors from this university who used Paul’s heart for their development.
